Rated 4 out of 5 by Allymor from One of the best rods you can get for price point. Brilliant rod for big lochs or rivers where you need to be fishing at distance. Very fast action , extremely light and very strong blanks. I own a #6 and once youve hooked up it feels like your using a #7 with the power it has. No quality issues with mine as the comment below suggests. Whippings done very neat and finished off with a thick glaze. Guides seem to be qood quality and reel seat and washers seem to be high quality and light. Well done greys another brilliant rod for the price point.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Macattak from Amazing rod ! I arrived home to this being delivered. I have a greys grxi rod same length and and weight which I love. I bought this rod for a secondary rod and it’s amazing out of the box the first impression I got with the case is high quality good looking and I love the triangle shape of the rod case. Inside the case you find three side compartments and a central one the cork handle looks to be without imperfection or filler you can feel the quality in the cork. The eyes are very good quality and the rod itself is really good looking. Onto the swim I go I must admit the weight of the rod is very light and so are my reels it’s perfectly balanced and feels very professional.

Rated 2 out of 5 by DS2018 from Quality Control Issues? A strong and powerful rod that performs well, particularly when casting at distance, or in wind, making it a good choice for bank fishing on larger lakes. A disappointment, then, that Greys "Flagship Model" was compromised by obvious quality control issues. On delivery, I found the whippings securing the largest of the rod rings to be untidily finished, and assumed it to be a solely cosmetic fault. However, these rapidly became spongy when exposed to damp, rendering the fitting insecure and unfit for purpose. Additionally, the "Grade AAA" cork handle was of a shoddy standard, containing too many areas of cracks and filler to befit a "Flagship Model". My supplier exchanged the rod for another, where the whippings appear better finished although with this one the 'male' part of the handle section goes so far into the ferrule of the adjacent section that the guide mark disappears, and the quality of the cork handle is just as disappointing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by ftom75 from Super fast and light rod Very light, and stiff rod. My #7 class rod can handle my 21 gramm shooting head with no problem. I don't have any quality issue at all. Highly recommended!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Gerardmon from Third Greys Rod! I own an XF2 Competition 10' #7 and two GR70 11' #7. Also paired with 3 Greys reels GX 900, GTS 700 and GTS 500. I also own another 5 rods. Some a lot more expensive and I fish almost exclusively with my Greys rods. I fish at a club on a large lake where we catch a lot of big fish and my Greys kit never lets me down. People always are surprised when they compare my Greys rods with theirs! I am a fan for life.
