Greys® GTS500 is rated out of 5 by 4.
Rated 4 out of 5 by Snakecharmer from Good solid versatile reel I've purchased two of these reels in 5/6/7 format. Excellent quality and good solid versatile reels. Be aware as with Mikey's criticism that the spool needs to be fitted tightly to the spool body and drive slots lined up correctly or the reel will lock up or spool come off. Once this is done correctly the reels are sound and reliable. Thanks Pure Fishing for a quality product - again!

Rated 5 out of 5 by fferox from Sufficiently happy to have 2 and a GTS300 as well Happy with the product, apart from 1 niggling detail: The small red line rating pegs don't sit flush with the spool, causing the reel to jam. I just mark the appropriate rating holes with a permanent marker instead.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Mikey B from Absolute rubbish. Not fit for purpose The captive spool release screw either tightens, when reeling in, so much that it locks up the spool, or completely undoes when pulling out line for a cast. The quick L/R conversion is not practical as the line holding spool cannot be flipped/reversed, leaving the line exiting the spool from the top of the reel which is impractical. It is simply not fit for purpose.
